Corinth has a new eating establishment. Nothing fancy–a very unassuming place like a bbq hut. They’ve fixed it up real nice and put picnic tables out for you. BUT…beyond it being cute, the food is OUT OF THIS WORLD to die for!!
JT’s FALAFEL & KABAB is just off highway 72 beside Arby’s at the red light and where Cass Street meets there at McDonald’s (more specifically at 1208 South Cass Street.) Wow. I have to say as a creature of habit I’m not one to go outside my usual southern favorites, I don’t venture too far off the beaten path, etc. I might SAY I’m going to try something new…but, at the last minute I go for what I know I like. Yep. That’s me. (The silly part of me thinks I’m adventurous!) :) But, I ventured this time and I’m sooo glad I did!
JT’s offers GREEK food here in this very southern city and it’s absolutely delicious! The chicken kabab dinner comes with 2 sides and I chose baba ghannouj and falafel. I would LOVE to know how they spice this chicken!! It’s like nothing I’ve ever eaten before. I’ve never had the opportunity to try Greek food like baba ghannouj (roasted smoked eggplant flavored with sesame oil, lemon juice and spices) and falafel (chickpeas, onion, garlic, fresh parsley and spices). These are definitely new to me, but I’m LOVING it! If you decide to give it a try, please tell Alex and Manal that we sent you! They open daily at 10 a.m., closing Monday-Wednesday at 7 p.m. and Thursday-Saturday at 8 p.m. Call ahead! (662) 287-8887.
